Jim Poling – Iron Traditions Kwai-Ken Dagger
Inspired by the timeless Japanese Kwai-Ken design, this exceptional custom dagger by Jim Poling of Iron Traditions is a stunning example of traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Every element has been carefully executed, resulting in a knife that is both elegant and functional.
The 4 3/4” blade is hand forged from 1095 carbon steel and features a beautiful, well-defined hamon that highlights the heat-treating skill for which Jim Poling is known. The blade is finished with the JP Poling JS maker’s etch.
The handle and matching scabbard are crafted from Alternative Ivory, beautifully accented with brass spacers and mosaic pins, creating a classic presentation that complements the clean lines of the Kwai-Ken pattern.
